Most fail just when reached the goal.

Met an old lady friend that took me down memory lane.  She and another brother from bible study were key in keeping me breathing after my ex gf/fiance left many year/moon ago.  When the perfect life dream bubble bursts and we have to get busy living or get busy dying.  Odd that pain was harder than cancer....
During Chemo and radiation a friend had a bad day, I offered to trade lives with her and she said: "Justin I wouldn't wish your life on my worst enemy"

Anywho ....

Interesting road... loose the girl, then I run away, too, (run to something) i.e. a job in China.... spend a few years in china and Africa... slowly build international business and now we're days away from finally hitting home with some contracts.

After all this blood sweat and tears while trying to avoid black market business and mafia biz...  I must thank God for his kannon of integrity and virtues.  Now my firm is a power house of power and influence for developing countries.  I'll do Paul one better instead of giving a man a cloak i'll give him work so he can buy his whole family cloaks and go home holding his head high and thankful.  I am thankful i didn't have a lady to care for while I was starving in Africa or barely paying rent in china working for a low income school.  If God ever gets his act in gear and his promised bride belatedly shows up we can move forward breathing little easier.  At least nobody reads this so my agents in different countries don't see weakness :)

The next stage odd though it be i call "King Thrushbeard".... came home last year to help family in this small town no one sees me as the world business mogul just little old Justin living with his sick mom helping her out and working at the local ski resort.  Like Paul said learn to be content in plenty or lack.  Amazing how people in service industry are invisible.

Well speaking of work i gotta get to a conference call with Taiwan Governor.  Seems their refinery exploded and he needs fuels from my Russia suppliers.  Have a good day.

May you find lifes joys in the little miracles even if you don't have your life's desire ... keep swimming.  God's Joy is true strength touches us in life's hardest times.

New journeys in China

Three months in China, Changchun.

Now it comes to about 3 months. ....3 months living in China.  Things as always in life are nothing that I anticipated.
Self says I. We can go to China get a good job and in a couple years pay those dang student loans!  Well The job turned out chaotic to say the least. Now I'm trying to feta new job.  The bonus is meeting people here has been a rich unexpected reward. Most are super. Say hi and you get the biggest smiles.

A couple mental notes... The time I finally can tell a taxi how to get home.  The time I could ask prices and haggle ... the time I could pick out different words and sound characteristics of phonemes and write their graphemes.   The time the first person smiled at me and was like.... Meguo?america?  And I say yes. Haoda
BeiYang and Elizabeth from couchsurfing Saved me BeiYang -even took me to the hospital... They were amazing.

There was a thing I found in having a problem here is not doing research before coming.  I've been to so many other countries China couldn't be so different?  Wrong.

The saying.  As far as east is from the west.  Equates to life, work, and style of teaching here. Simple me. Oh ok a job... I can move and just fit right in again. I had an easier time fitting in a refugee camp than adjustment to life here.....   For one they love pork here as it's super hard some times to get lamb.  All the fresh vegetables you could dream, but no quinoa or lentils I've found as yet.

Some times I do really miss people and puppy back home.

My Esl job colleagues
Edison is really the best part of working at EF... I'll be happy it's in the past though.

She was amazing like mom I couldn't talk with, but still treats me likea son.

I'm looking at a couple jobs. 1st Jilin university hospital ChangChun- with Beihua University in Jilin city...or, Jilin agriculture University, or Guongqiao Foreign Language University. Orstar international education. The hospital gig ESL job pays best bot star international education helps poor rural villages.

With 1st Jilin hospital Id be helping set up a medical english verbal program. with Beihua in Jilin city and Jilin medical university .... I.e being a work aholic for the next year. 2 days in jilin city and 5 changchun.
I like Jilin agricultural Uni environment the best as its so close to the national park Jingyue tan.  Clear moon lake park.

Well off to go look for apartments.

Purple air from the East... Good fortune in China.

Serendipity meeting over coffee with Denver University Dean of Social Work International !

Coffee with Ivy League Dean today :)

Busy day; getting replacement Passport for jobs in China and Japan possibilities.  Talking with Dean of DU about jobs and grad school.  Managing some marketing campaigns.

I bumped into a guy with a DU vest the other day at home depot and helped him out.  On one condition of getting a job with DU for grad school!   Well he took me up on coffee at today!  http://portfolio.du.edu/jwill177

James williams, Denver University, DU, School of Social work, Denver University Social Work,
James Williams Dean School of Social Work

We had an amazing chat over coffee at Kaladi brothers coffee in Denver, Co.  Its strange when a small bit of my life's story impresses an Ivy League School's Dean! Sooooo, he said they may have a program's director job coming up.  But if not I could go to this job in China/ Japan for a year and come back for next year's program in social work with International relations.

Still waiting to hear back from Air Force reserves.  My application is going to the surgeon general for review pending the cancer survivor waiver?

I'm hoping to talk with the gentleman from Japan who wants help putting his farm in japan on solar energy and wind energy.  Strange how a neat simple unassuming guy turns out to be an international business man with multiple universities in multiple countries!  His University in Colorado is Colorado Heights University.  Takashi Yamanaka Board of Trustees

Colorado Heights University

Its true and hard, but keeping an open heart to the world can bring unexpected joys in life's serendipity.

Life joy is sorrow

Today I went to the funeral for my friend's newborn daughter.   Just a couple days ago they were the picture of beaming joy.  TOday I stared at the small coffin at the front of the room after embracing my dear friend with his shell shocked wife.  There wasn't a dry eye in the whole assembly.

LIfe is fickle; joys are the delicately balanced on our worst sorrows and fears.
Love your loved ones today show them what they mean to you
While we are still just a touch or call away.

Live for today and tomorrow's promise.

Zee Dache of zee Mustache?

What is the Mustache Dache?

The Mustache Dache is a slightly irreverent mustache-themed 5K with a killer post-race party to raise awareness and funds for men’s health, with an emphasis on prostate cancer.  Men, women, and children are all invited to participate in the race, grow a mustache (if able), and register at Movember to become Mo’ Bros and Mo’ Sistas.
